ASHLEY KRISTEEN VEGA is a New York City-based actress, director, singer, dancer, writer, producer, and all-around stage & screen artist.
A Texas native, Miss Vega graduated with Summa Cum Laude Honors from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi with a BA in Theatre (Acting/Directing emphasis), a Dance Certification, and Vocal Performance credits.
ASHLEY has found success in NYC in with various companies such as the New Ohio Theatre, the Broadway Bound Theatre Festival, the New York Theatre Festival, the Manhattan Repertory Theatre, and more, as well as developing, producing, directing, and starring in independent theatre & film ventures across the country.
Most Recently, Ashley has lent her talents to various online readings with several reputable theatre companies including the League of Professional Theatre Women, The Skeleton Rep(resents), and the National Women’s Theatre Festival, to name a few. Ashley starred as Xavi in the world premiere of the New Ohio Theatre's 2020 Theatre For Young Minds production Journey Around My Bedroom by Dianne Nora with music by Hyeyoung Kim, which received a NEW YORK TIMES Top 5 Critic's Pick. Ashley also starred in Crystal Skillman's OPEN, the inaugural theatre production of Party Claw Productions, to rave reviews. Her film PSYCHASTHENIA - which she assistant directed, co-produced, and starred in - won Best Thriller at the Golden State Film Festival where she accepted the award with her fellow filmmakers during the film's Hollywood premiere. She also co-created and starred in the new semi-autobiographical digital series WELL, ASHLEY... telling the often hilarious tales of a non-union stage actress in New York City. Ashley received acclaim during her run as Beth March in Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre's LITTLE WOMEN, where Ashley is now a proud Associated Artist with the company. She reprised her role in a filmed virtual version of the play in late 2020.
When not performing, Ashley is also a well-established film & theatre director in New York City. In addition, she is also co-founder of Party Claw Productions, a theatre & film production company specializing in feminist works, with NYC artist Laura Kay.
